What is process mapping?

Process mapping is a way of visually demonstrating processes using various shapes and arrows. Or to put it more simply, it’s a diagram of how everything hangs together.

It can be done at various levels of complexity, a high-level overview or a deep dive into an individual process. The trick is to know how much detail the right amount is. It can be time consuming, so to make sure you use this time most effectively, think hard about what you are trying to achieve.
