Design Thinking workshop

9.00am – 12.30pm
FibreHub, Pool
Includes lunch

Part 1: Wednesday 22nd February 2023
Part 2: Wednesday 1st March 2023

OVERVIEW OF TOPIC:

Do you have a business problem which needs solving? Or are you looking to come up with new ideas for your business?

Our upcoming two-part workshop on ‘Design Thinking’ can help.

Tom and Richard from Cornwall-based business, Evident, will guide you on the best route to approaching problems, helping you generate innovative ideas in a practical way.

‘Design Thinking’ is sometimes considered a bit of a buzz-term, but it can enable you to approach your business’s challenges in the most efficient way whilst inspiring your team to be more entrepreneurial.  And it’s not just something those ‘big corporates’ do; Tom and Richard lead teams of all sizes through this tried and tested framework.

You will be part of a small group, working together, being challenged by Evident to really activate change over the course of the workshop.

There’ll also be the chance for 1:1 time with Tom and Richard to follow up on specifics or that ‘brand-new  idea’ they’ve got you thinking about!

WHAT WILL BE COVERED?

Part 1 – Insights for Innovation:

  • Learn about Design Thinking methodologies and fundamentals.
  • Identify what really matters to your end users/target market.
  • Learn techniques to adopt your users/target market perspectives.
  • Turn ideas and learnings into actionable insights.

Part 2 – Design Thinking in Practice:

  • To be able to apply design thinking methodologies to real-world opportunities.
  • Understand how to apply learnings as part of a design services delivery team.
  • To understand how best to facilitate business growth through design innovation.

OUTCOME

You’ll leave with a thorough understanding of Design Thinking practices and how to apply this to your business. Having sparked ideas on how to solve problems, you’ll have a peer group to continue to inspire activity when you get back to the office.
